SCHOTTLAND ASSOCIATES is a multi-speciality practice that treats children, adolescents, and adults.
Our multi-disciplinary practice includes individual and group psychotherapy, academic and special education counseling, executive functioning skills support services, and academic crisis intervention.
In our psychotherapy practice, we address a range of problems including anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, bi-polar disorders, spectrum disorders, self-confidence and self-esteem problems, social and family relationship problems, change of life, grief, emotionally-based academic problems, and the emotional challenges of learning disabilities. Treatment methods include attachment-based therapy, cognitive therapies (CBT, DBT, ACT), and exposure and response prevention (E/RP) for OCD, phobias, and panic disorders. We understand the importance of mindfulness, and it is included in all of our approaches.
We provide counseling that supports the emotional and academic needs of students from elementary school through college, and we educate parents to help facilitate their child’s development. Additionally, we can provide tutoring and we offer training for enhancing executive functioning skills, academic achievement, increasing resilience, and life-management skills.
